What does YNIA cost and what does that include?

The program fee for YNIA in the United States and Canada is $349. The program fee for YNIA in Mexico is $379.

Fees include:

Program fees do not include travel to the program or transportation during the week. All teams must have vehicles during the week to travel to and from work sites.

Deposits

The initial payment of $50 per person reserves the spaces requested for the members of your team until March 1, 2009. This initial fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Young Neighbors in Action is intentionally designed as a small community experience, involving just 50-80 participants at each program site. We also have “Mega Sites” which will involve 150 participants at each program site.  When team registrations indicate that a site is full, other teams and individuals are turned away. In order to guarantee that Young Neighbors reaches as many participants as possible please only register for the spaces that you intend to fill.

Site Availability

All groups are registered on a first come, first serve basis. If your first choice for a program week is full, we can put you on a waiting list or register you for your second or third choice. Check out www.youngneighbors.org for regular updates on the capacity of every program week!

How do I reserve my spaces?

For your convenience we offer three options:
1. Complete your registration form and send it along with your deposit check to CMD/YNIA, 5713 Wollochet Drive NW, Suite A, Gig Harbor, WA 98335.
2. Phone in your registration to (253) 853-5422 with a credit card number for "on the spot approval!"
3. Fax your registration form with a credit card number to CMD at (253) 853-5448.

Once you register, you will receive a confirmation via email or mail. Soon after, you will receive a Team Preparation Manual which guides you through the preparation process.

What if I have to cancel?

In the event that you have to cancel your group or make your group smaller your initial deposit of $50 per participant will be forfeited. There are further penalties for cancellations made after March 15th. See page 14 for a detailed description of our payment schedule and cancellation policy.
